This scenic trek takes you through the stunning landscapes of Chilean Patagonia. Starting near Laguna Sofía, the trail offers panoramic views of the lake surrounded by native forests and dramatic cliffs. As you ascend Cerro Benítez, you’ll pass ancient caves with prehistoric rock art and possibly spot condors soaring above. The hike combines natural beauty, cultural history, and a touch of adventure—perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

itinerary

The tour begins with pick-up at your accommodation, followed by a drive approximately 25 kilometers north of Puerto Natales to the area of Cerro Benítez and Laguna Sofía.

There, we park the vehicle and begin the trek toward Cerro Benítez. 

This trek is an excellent option to enjoy nature and the scenery, get some exercise, and observe birds such as the condor. It is suitable for all ages. 

Once at the summit of Cerro Benítez, and if weather conditions allow, we’ll have time to take photos and enjoy a small snack. Finally, on the way down, we’ll take some time to admire Laguna Sofía.
